Flickering Lights

If lights are flickering check to see if switchs, breakers, or receptacles are warm to the touch. Often fires begin with loose connections which cause excessive temperatures and can lead to fire. Aluminium wiring is often thought of as a fire hazard, however copper wiring with incorrect terminations can result in a fire. Typical loose connections we see most are due to quick connections found on most residential low grade switchs and receptacles. A quick connect is a push in method with spring retention within a modern device. The old way which is best is to curl the wire around a mechanically tightened screw on the device and pigtailing hot, neutral, and ground assuring tight connections.
